Who We Are -What We Do

At SEN Parent Support Group, we are a community created by parents, for parents. We know the challenges of navigating Special Educational Needs because we’ve lived them ourselves. Our mission is to offer a safe, welcoming space where no family has to face the SEND journey alone.

“Navigate the SEN Educational Processes for Better Outcomes – TOGETHER™”

Our free Facebook group is home to more than 25,000 + parents, offering lived‑experience support, real‑life advice, and a place where you can ask questions without judgement. It’s a supportive, understanding environment built on peer‑to‑peer connection  because no one understands an SEN parent like another SEN parent. We have 10 professional Admin/Moderators who are responsive and IPSEA Trained to Level 3 to answer your every question!

For families wanting deeper guidance, our Membership Area provides full access to the SEN Parent Support Group Resource Hub, containing over 450 resources including template letters, step‑by‑step guides, timelines, how‑to tools, blogs, vlogs, and practical guidance for every stage of the SEND process. Everything is written in clear, parent‑friendly language and grounded in SEND law.

Membership also includes automatic free access to our full suite of specialist tools:

• The SEND Bible™ – instantly search the entire Hub to find exactly what you need
• SEN Support Tracker App – track communication, evidence, and school responses
• EHCP Draft Checker – identify missing sections and unlawful wording in minutes
• SENDIST Guardian Case Management – organise and manage your whole tribunal documents and timelines with ease

Whether you’re just starting out or navigating complex challenges, you’ll find clarity, confidence, and a community that truly cares.

What Parents Are Saying About Us

Meet the Founder

Andrea Dixon-Boldy is the heart and engine behind SEN Parent Support Group, a community built not just from knowledge, but from lived experience, fierce advocacy, and deep empathy. As a parent to a courageous and simply AUESOME young adult with an AUDHD and PDA profile, Andrea knows first hand the emotional terrain of navigating SEND systems while protecting a child’s joy, dignity, and potential.

Andrea is advanced SEND Law trained, with specialist expertise in statutory mapping, EHCP compliance, and social care frameworks. Her professional background spans operational management, people development, statutory mentoring, psychometric’s, recruitment & HR – but it’s her personal interest in child psychology and neurodivergent identity that shapes the soul of her work.

From tribunal submissions to template creation, Andrea has empowered thousands of families to challenge unlawful practice and secure meaningful provision. Her leadership is both technical and emotional strategic when it counts, and always rooted in compassion and SEND Law.

Whether she’s mentoring parents through their first EHCP draft or defending a child’s right to be understood, Andrea brings clarity, warmth, and unstoppable energy to the SEND landscape.

“We don’t just advocate for provision we fight for peace, pride, and possibility.”
