SEN Parent Support Group™ – Supporting Parents Through EHCPs, SEND Law, Neurodiversity and Advocacy

Across the UK, thousands of parents search online every day for answers about SEND support, EHCP applications, annual reviews, school provision, neurodiversity, and what to do when their child’s needs aren’t being met. Many feel overwhelmed, confused, or alone. SEN Parent Support Group™ exists to change that. We are a parent‑led, trauma‑informed community built on lived experience, statutory SEND law, and a commitment to empowering families with clear, accurate, compassionate professional guidance.

Parents join us because they need support they can trust. They need help understanding how to get support prior to the EHCP,  the EHCP timeline and process, interpreting multi‑professional reports, navigating school communication, and advocating for their child’s needs. They need a space where they feel understood, supported, and never judged. That is what our closed group provides.

We help families at every stage of the SEND journey. Whether a parent is just starting to notice unmet needs, preparing an EHCP request, building a Working Document, attending an annual review, or facing a tribunal, we offer practical, lawful guidance that makes complex processes manageable. We break down statutory duties, legal timeframes, and what schools must do. We help parents understand evidence from EPs, SALTs, OTs, CAMHS, paediatrics, and school data. We explain how each report feeds into Section B and Section F, how provision should be written, and how to challenge diluted or omitted needs.

Our support is grounded in SEND law, but delivered in a way that feels human to parents. We do not want to overwhelm.  We use trauma‑informed practice to help parents interpret behaviour, understand underlying needs, and communicate effectively with professionals. We help families organise reports, prepare for meetings, and build strong, lawful Working Documents that reflect their child’s real needs. We guide parents through escalation routes, complaint processes, and tribunal preparation when required. Most importantly, we help them feel confident, informed, and never alone.

Parents find us because they search for terms like “EHCP support”, “SEND help”, “advocacy for parents”, “neurodiversity support”, “EHCP Working Document guidance”, “annual review help”, “SEN support at school”, “behaviour needs”, “SALT report explained”, “EP report meaning”, “OT recommendations”, “SEND law”, and “how to challenge an EHCP”. Our community is designed to be discoverable, accessible, and supportive for every family who needs us.

To make sure parents can reach us wherever they are, SEN Parent Support Group™ is active across multiple platforms. Our Facebook Group is the heart of our community, where thousands of parents share experiences, ask questions, and receive guidance. Instagram provides quick SEND tips, infographics, and parent‑friendly visuals. TikTok offers short, clear videos explaining EHCP steps, SEND processes, and advocacy strategies. YouTube hosts longer guides, walkthroughs, and SEND law explanations. Our SEND Bible website offers blogs, resources, and accessible guidance. Our main SEN Parent Support Group™ website shares our mission, story, and central hub for support. And our Membership Hub provides structured resources, CPD Training Webinars and Module learning, updates, and practical platforms for managing Tribunal Case Management, EHCP Draft Checks and a Digital Communication Diary plus many more under our RESOURCE Hub Plus membership.

By being present across multiple platforms, we make sure parents can find us whether they’re searching Google late at night, scrolling social media, or looking for SEND support during a difficult moment. Every platform is designed to meet parents where they are, with clear, actionable guidance that helps them move forward.

Parents tell us that our group feels different. They feel safe here. They feel understood. They feel supported by people who genuinely care about their child’s future. We are not a generic SEND page. We are not surface‑level advice. We are a community built on lived experience, statutory knowledge, SEND Law training and a deep commitment to helping families navigate a system that often feels impossible. Our support is practical, lawful, emotionally attuned, and grounded in real advocacy. We don’t offer vague reassurance  we offer clarity, strategy, and strength. We help parents build confidence, understand their rights, and advocate effectively for their children. This is our USP and what makes us stand out in the ‘group’ crowd.

There are thousands of families across the UK who are struggling alone, being misinformed, or receiving incomplete guidance. Many don’t know where to turn. Many don’t know groups like ours exist. By sharing our blogs, engaging with our posts, and inviting other parents into the community, you help us reach families who desperately need support.

SEN Parent Support Group™ will continue to grow, evolve, and expand our resources so parents can access clear, lawful, compassionate SEND guidance. We will keep breaking down complex processes, keep advocating for children’s rights, and keep building a community where parents feel safe, supported, and empowered.
